Systems Administrator
The Rockefeller Archive Center (RAC) seeks a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to join its Information Technology team as a Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator is a critical position that will manage and maintain all networks, servers, and systems to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the RAC’s IT infrastructure. Reporting to the Associate Director for Information Technology, the Systems Administrator is principally responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, storage systems, and other software that comprise the IT infrastructure. This position will be expected to support physical, virtual, and cloud-based computer systems and candidates should be familiar with both Windows and Linux operating systems. The Systems Administrator must exhibit excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills and possess the ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across organizational teams and program areas. We seek a skilled professional with strong technical expertise, a demonstrated ability to lead IT related initiatives, and someone with the necessary skills required to support the implementation of IT solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate works well independently with minimal supervision, is a strong team player, hard-working, organized, and able to provide quality support.
